Elizabeth Taylor Died at the Age of 79
The famous star of Cleopatra, Elizabeth Taylor died at the age of 79 after being treated of Congestive Heart Failure. The actress was confined at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for weeks and doesn't showed progress till Satuday. She was suffering from medical progress for years already and she even underwent heart surgery last 2009.
The actress went through alot of medical problems since the accident that happen while filming long ago.
Since then, it led to back problems that she suffers for a lifetime. She was also treated with Pneumonia, undergone surgery, and was even treated with benign brain tumor. In 2004, she revealed that she is suffering from Congenital Heart Failure that resulted of her Scoliosis.
Reports says that her 4 children were with her when the actress passed away. Her son, Michael, quoted in an interview says that her mom " was an extraordinary woman who lived life to the fullest...". Ms. Taylor was married and divorced several times, among the men she had relationships with were Conrad Hilton Jr., Michael Wildings, Michael Todd (she seemed to like the name Michael a lot that she even name her son the same name..), and Eddie Fisher.
Elizabeth was known for her film Cleopatra. For many of her followers at her prime, was called "The Most Beautiful Woman", I could still remember long ago when my father used to mention her when we talked about dreams and ambitions. She won many acting awards and won Oscars.
Aside from the entertainment industry, she has been very active with her charity works, especially the campaigns against AIDS since 1991, after the death of her close friend Rock Hudson. She even founded Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation which she is very active.
The family announced that they are asking the people not to send flowers at her funeral, instead, the family has ask that contributions to be made to their late mother's foundation . A private funeral will be held within this week.
